This horse is a 4 year old... was slightly shocked to see the intensity of the work he does.

Also I presume it isn't common practise to do piaffe (or any other movement) on concrete (please correct me if I am wrong).

Lovely young horse, but surely he shouldn't be doing all this at the age of 4? Each to their own I suppose.

Disclaimer: It is in way a dig at the owner's as they know the horse etc. I am just curious :)

Merry Christmas for tomorrow. :D

I don't know the first thing about dressage on any of horse of any age but it all looks very rushed to me and the horse looks tense in his head and neck, right down to his mouth.

It does say in the comments below that the owners don't normally do this on 4 yr olds and that he is only worked lightly (but why 4x per day I don't know?!).

As for the piaffe on concrete - well my horse will be doing that at the Boxing Day meet in the market square, plus some sideways stuff and probably whilst frothing at the mouth ;)

Happy Christmas! x

What a gorgeous sweet and willing horse, clearly with exceptional natural ability and I quite like how it's being ridden.

Not what I'd do with a 4yr old personally but it looks to be working within its capablities
