Be aware there are certain dealers yards with a notorious reputation who have in the past posed as a very sweet innocent little "private seller". Happened to a livery of mine. She had a bit of a problem mare but didn't want her to go to a dealers.

Someone else at my yard "happened" to follow the particular yard - and saw the mare being ridden out in busy traffic; obviously had been doped in some way as she wasn't good in traffic when she was with us. She was very upset.

I will name and shame: CNG Equine. Stoke on Trent.

I’m shopping in Portugal, a whole different form of complication - trust me - I am shopping with an agent to try and smooth the waters a little

Not surprised that name is always coming up on dodgy dealers sites.

What a nice problem to have on Facebook! I posted a few weeks ago with fairly specific (but easy to meet, so I thought?) requirements - just a young green event type. There were some interesting comments but the one that sticks out was a middle aged 14.2 native 🤦‍♀️.
Have fun pony shopping! If you need to thin them out I would ask for trot up and/or lunging videos beforehand. This time round I viewed 3, they all ticked my boxes on paper but only one was sound upon arrival…lesson learned
