I'm currently putting the feelers out for a new instructor for me and my Welshie. We currently have an instructor, but we are having trouble with our left canter (he either does not canter, tanks off or canters on the wrong leg). My current instructor's solution was to whack on a pair of spurs. It worked, kind of but I don't want to rely on spurs to just get him into canter/want to know why he's not finding it easy.
Can anybody recommend a good instructor in the Loughborough area? I'm looking for someone firm but fair, considerate that I'm not the most confident and will really help with our issue instead of just covering over the cracks, so to speak?
