I have been waiting for Warhorse to come to Hippodrome in Birmingham & tickets have now gone on sale.....................They are all one price.............£113.00p each!! :( So it will cost £452.00 + a £22.60p booking fee for my family of 4 to go, so a total of £476.60p for an evenings entertainment :(

In the current financial climate who can really justify that expense, & the whole family agrees. We are already going to the Lion King, that production has loads of props & a large cast & the tickets for that were £58.00 which is expensive enough. How can War Horse justify these extortionate ticket prices?

Has greed taken over the theatre world? :(

Much cheaper to go to London to see it - as we did 3 yrs ago- I cant say how fantastic is was , one of the best theatre trips I ve eve rhad. But not at this Birmingham price - thats crazy. If all tour prices are that high it ll be a failure!

We saw Warhorse in London and stayed over . I cried all the way though. Have no idea why it is so expensive. In London it was in a tiny theatre.
We are going to Rocky Horror, Phantom and Lion King in Brum this year but will pass on Warhorse at that price

The only price I can see on wbsites is at Sunderland - tickets there at £15-55. Birmingham has no prices yet that I cold see - perhaps you ve got wrong info? lets hope so!

As others have said, looks like it is the VIP package at that price. I saw it in London a couple of years ago, think the tickets were around £70 for front stalls. Going to see it in Manchester in 2014 (tickets already booked:)), they were about £50 .

If you click on the prices and schedule button at the top of the screen, you will see prices much better value!! It's a brilliant show, I'd go again in a moment...:)

I've been on the Hippodrome website & although it says general tickets on sale from 14th January there are still only VIP tickets on sale @ £113.00. I've tried telephoning the office (9.15am) and you get ansaphone saying office is closed?

I'll try later & see if anyone has actually bothered to get out of bed & get to the theatre this morning to see if I can buy some tickets that they are advertising at the reasonable prices!!

Rant over. :(

Managed to get online after 9.30 & tickets were then on sale, there were over 300 in the queue to book but I got some decent tickets. After I'd ordered mine I checked on how many were in the queue to book & there were 638!! It's only on for 3 weeks so I think there'll be some disappointed people.

Three of us went to London on a Saturday, tickets were £55 each and the train Bham Int - London Euston was £19 return (we are all under 60).

I think the Birmingham production will not be anywhere near as good as London New Theatre is.

In London the theatre is tiny and you literally sit in the middle of the production, you feel like you can reach out and touch the atmosphere. The seating wraps around the stage.

In contrast the Hippodrome is vast and the stage is a long way away. I would recommend London any day and would love to go again. I won't be bothering with Birmingham even though it is on my doorstep.

I managed to get some tickets online tonight, I was in a queue of over 800 when I logged on at 7 tonight, managed to wait till about 8.30 before I could book them.
I eventually got tickets booked for Mon 21st Oct, and were £50 each, and sat not to far away from the stage.
I couldn't get anything with decent seats on the Fri or Sat, they seem to be selling fast.
It'll definitely be something to look forward to.
