This is the UKs first registered Warlander filly which is a Andalusian and Friesan mix. Her father is the Grand Pix dressage Friesian TIETSE 428 from Excalibur Friesians USA who always passes on his long hair, stamina and movement. Her mother is a Spanish import Andalusian mare (who we own) who is registered, graded and APTO approved for breeding. Ameerah (princess in Arabic) was born 17th May 2015 and is currently for sale. (im not advertising her on here, she is on the web)

I just want peoples opinions and thoughts of the breed and also on how she looks, everyone loves foal pics!

Here she is! Im completely obsessed

I can't see pics either and I would be very interested in looking at them as I'm a Friesian owner and (very small time) breeder.

Out of interest why did you choose that particular stallion? Just asking because he isn't an approved FPS stallion - his licence was revoked as his stock weren't deemed to be good enough so wondering what made you choose him over an approved stallion? Is he approved on the Warlander register? Is there now a Warlander register in the UK

Sorry for all the questions :)

Hopefully these work, if not i have seriously failed lol.

Hi madlady, i chose Tieste because he was the first FPS registered Friesan stallion and bred 10 champion foals in 1 year and he really does pass on his gorgeous mane and movement, i honestly think he is pure quality.

There is a international Warlander registry but this is the UKs first registered

She looks a nice foal but TBH from those pics she just looks Friesian to me (very much like my filly at the same sort of age) - I'd be interested to see pics of her at a few months old :)

oh, oh . oh !!! such a pretty face, going off to google them now! i went to a stud here that breeds Freisan x Arab, i thought the mix would be wrong , i imagined big heads on little necks but they were beyond beautiful, some were unearthly in their movements, can we have some more pics?!!

I honestly think that too! She looks like a pure Friesian foal i just wish i could keep her and watch her grow

She even has the swirly coat that all my purebred foals have had :) I've been trying to find the head shot I have of my filly at around the same age - they could be twins! I bet she will look so different though as a weanling, I want you to keep her just so that I can have picture updates LOL

thanks Pf!:)
i freely admit this is the first time i have seen or heard of this breed so thoroughly enjoyed googling them and looking at pics, as somebody who owns a big baroque PRE i can see the appeal of these, i was really drawn to some of the different colours specially a buckskin! my only hesitation is the possibility of a heavy long head( if that makes sense) there are lots of PRE's around me and not all are noble looking! i would love to see her as she grows so i also think you should keep her!!!!

TBH if your goal is to sell the filly then these photos are not very useful. Cute, yes, but it would be better to have a side on confo pic, some movement shots and a better view of all four limbs. And a good pic of the mare would be helpful also, and her breeding.

Aww, she's gorgeous! ^-^
I've never heard of this cross before, the more I think about it, the more it seems a good idea!!! Just Googled Warlander horses, they look lovely :) I do prefer the look of Andalusians/Lusitanos but I prefer the movement of a Friesian sooo aahhh  why didn't I ever think of this cross?!
