I have a horsewear Rambo fleece. It is really thick and soft and cosy. It keeps clipped horses warm in winter. I have the blue Newmarket one and I love it. It was Mintos so really could do with being a size bigger but I couldn’t part with it. I think it was about £60 8 years ago but as only goes on for shows and supervised it still looks new. I splashed out and got the equivalent in the exercise sheet last year which is equally great.

love the thermatex material but it’s a dreadful fit on my pony. It slipped back so far within minutes of putting on that it left a welt around her neck and withers ?
Got a ruggles version instead for when she comes home from hunting fits nicely and very modest... it covers everything!
It’s so deep it overlaps around her belly and you can’t see her knees, her ears also disappear neatly into the neck ?
Definitely a snug as a bug kind of rug

Thermatex or Rambo all the way! My Rambo is a bit warm for a very hairy native so not used very often. I would be tempted to snuggle up in it myself! Love my Thermatex too. I got mine at Hoys so got a really good price.

I rate the Le Mieux Thermo Cool rug, nice quality and I like the extra thickness over the back and quarters.

I always buy old 100% Whitney wool Rugs on eBay! They’re stunning after a wash :) I have a burgundy and a gold stripe :D

I’d love a thermatex but can’t justify the cost atm. Rambo fleeces are thick and lovely too ??

Hate thermatex. They pull horrendously - maybe just on my horses, who know's.

Any fleece rugs will be warm. I did splash out though on a back on track rug. Brilliant.
