I have painful chilblains this winter although my feet have never felt cold out on the yard. Anyway, I need an insulated welly and/or some good quality thermal socks. Can anyone recommend something that will actually keep my feet warm as I've googled and there's so much to choose from.

I finally caved and got some Le Chameaus - had been resisting for years and years (despite being recommended them repeatedly) as couldn't imagine they would be worth the money. I suffer from really bad chilblains in the winter too and my feet are always like blocks of ice. I wish I had done this years earlier. So so warm even with just 'normal' socks on and feel like walking on clouds. Highly recommend investing

Quatro wellies are insulated, and the warmest thing on earth. The only downside are that they are slightly heavier then normal wellies, but are 100% worth it!
Agree I have the skellerup quatro and they are amazingly warm. I say this as someone who gets chill blains and whose toes are often purple in winter

Thanks for all your advice. I will look into your suggestions and make some purchases. Hopefully the weather is going to improve and we won't have to worry about them for much longer. Any tips for getting rid of chilblains?

As a fellow chilblain sufferer I can highly recommend Aigle Parcours 2 ISO. Neoprene lined, and with a pair of heat holders fluffy socks! I get chilblains up the front of my legs as well and these boots have been amazing. So far my pair have last 3 years of mucking out and everyday wear.

Me too. Mine have just started perishing on the toe bend after five years of wearing them like slippers every single day. They would probably have lasted longer if I'd cleaned and oiled them regularly....like you're supposed to. I love them.

I would recommend the Aigle Parcours 2 ISO as well, have had my eye on a pair for a few years now and finally got some last week after my old wellies gave up the ghost. So comfy and warm, I'm so glad I got them now! I pair mine with bama sokkets for extra warmth (little booties that stop my feet getting cold and damp, a game changer for me!), which are about £11 a pair from Amazon.

Another Aigle parcours 2 recommendation from me.
I have raynauds syndrome which affects my hands and feet, and I used to get bad chilblains on my toes but haven't had them in a very long time. They're not the easiest wellies to get off though

Another vote for Aigle but being skint at the mo, I recently bought a pair of neoprene lined safety wellies with steel toe caps from the local builders merchants. They were about 40 quid, keep my feet toasty and are incredibly comfortable. Very well made and designed to last. Best of all I charged them to OH’s account 😉

same here they went almost black and huge hard skin and still not right healing slowly, but the pain walking and putting shoe or boots on was tear jerking.

Never had chilblains like these before. I bought these boots after and thermal socks. Yeh I know a bit late but hey ho https://muckbootcompany.co.uk/products/womens-mb-arctic-sport-ii-tall-wellingtons-black-grey
