WARNING Dorest Hampshire Area

There is a washed out red horsebox in the area seen in holtwood today. It is linked with the gang of guys stealing horses and ponies to order - ponies and youngstock are being targeted.

They come during the day driving a white Mitsubishi evo to find the one they want, the mane then has a tag plaited into it so the lorry guys know which one to get. If you see anything, ring the police, the more info the better.

The lorry has 3 guys wearing basball caps.

Please spread the word.

It was my instructor who keeps her horses at my mum's yard who saw the lorry. Very suspicious and acting very oddly for a very quiet rural area. A friend of hers also had her horse targeted, they are going for young natives, in particular connies. They rub the hair together into a kind of dreadlock.

Holtwood is not far from Wimborne, which is around 30mins from Bournemouth in Dorset

Maybe I'm being a bit cynical here, but this is starting to sound very much like the eastern europeans who were doing the rounds last year, taking photos and stealing to order. Text messages were flying everywhere and everyone was panicking but it was all a load of hot air in the end.

Surely there can't be that many horses being found with plaits in their manes, the markets would be overflowing with stolen horses and I think it would have been noticed by now if they were.
