Sitting with a big grin on my face....it's the little things isn't it!?
Today my very green hairy cob (that I bought out of a field because I fell in love with him
) finally cracked canter. There will be those on here who have seen my posts before about getting the hairy chunky one to canter...well I think we've cracked it!! He even managed to go round a corner
And he had a bash at cantering on the leg he REALLY can't canter on too....it was a bit disunited, but he really tried, bless him. As it going to pour down tonight I left him in (after lots of cuddles) with a big haynet and a big salt lick.
My other boy seems to be coming good too....some of you will know how I was a bit 'done' by a not so reputable dealer back in the spring. My naughty Irish chap has been with Janet George and her team for the last 5 weeks andd they have worked wonders. I went to ride him yesterday and had a fab hack through the woods, with a good old gallop too and I'm off back there tomorrow for another go. I think he'll be home soon. Not bad for a horse that wasn't rideable, eh?? Thanks Janet
Anyway, did warn you it was a happy post....a nice big glass of Friday night wine for getting this far
