TO ALL HORSE OWNERS IN THE HOLSWORTHY/CLAWTON AREA.

OUR HORSE WAS ATTACKED WITH A SHARP BLADE BY SOME SICK PERSON AND WAS BADLY CUT
BEHIND THE EAR,
THE CUT WAS SEVERAL INCHES LONG AND QUITE DEEP, POOR THING HAD TO GET 6 STITCHES.
THIS HAPPENED ABOUT 4 TO 5 AM ON SUNDAY MORNING.
POLICE CALLED BUT UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NOT MUCH THEY ARE ABLE TO DO.
PLEASE WATCH YOUR HORSES AND BE AWARE THIS SICK NUTTER IS IN OUR AREA.

That's awful, I used to work there last year, know Clawton really well. Who stitched it up for you?

Tom a local vet who is on his own near Marhamchurch, we put her out at night and bring her in in morning, fortunately we noticed it early and called the vet. Poor thing is so upset and in pain. We cant use a headcollar to lead her in and out the stable, she cant have anything near her poll area. The mare was so trusting !!!!

I stitched up a horse in Clawton that had it's nose ripped off by a car, it's obviously not a good place to be a horse!
