i laugh now but it was not funny at the time.

i was getting out of the jockey door of our trailer when i smacked my head right on the top of the frame also feeling every bone in my neck crack i was in some pain and feeling sick for a few hours when i went to the local A&E they check me over and the next thing i knew i was like someone off causality the ambulance came and rolled me on to a spine board i had them things both sides of my neck and strapped down so i could not move. they moved me to another hospital. i had x-rays done and all came back ok, thank god, im really stiff at the mo but nothing broke...

im now going to buy me self a sticker that goes by my jockey door saying mined your head lol

so just remember when you know you are short and you think your at the right hight to get of of your trailer bend down that bit more and you wont end up like me

Ouch! I've had more damage done to me by horseboxes than horses. I've taken to wearing my hat when loading as I've cracked my head so often on the jockey door. They're made for people jockey-sized, you see!

lol i couldnt help but laugh when the docs ask me what i had done, as i have fallen from horses a number of times but never ended up in hospital like this
DAM the jockey doors we are not all 4 ft high. .
i will be wearing my hat from now on lol

The sticker sounds a good idea!

Lorries and horseboxes are lethal! Last monday (for about the fourth time) I went into my lorry the back way, and tried to exit out the door of the living. Because I hadnt entered that way the steps weren't down, but I automatically opened the door, expected them to be there, and walked out into nothing. It's quite a drop down and I went into the gravel head first. Ouch!

Ouch!! Glad you ok.
Heard about a girl whos arm snapped, yuk when her horse decided to make an exit through the jockey door with her in the way. God knows how but apparantly it fit!
