Warning - Threat to Shropshire riders

A friend of mine alerted me that a rider in Shropshire has been threatened on facebook by a driver of a skiphire firm.

The driver posted on facebook the following...

"next time i see you out on your horse you will get knocked off"

There were a few other words around the post, which I haven't included as they were less than compliementary.

If anyone would like any further details, please PM me and I will let you know the name of the company.

The post was aimed at a female rider as some of the words I haven't included mentioned the riders gender.

How brave the driver must be driving around in a lorry of over 10 tons and threatening a female rider.

Can you pm me more details please. As stormhorse says I hope the rider has notified the skip company and the police. I know of one skip company that sponsors classes at a riding club, if it was one of their drivers I'm sure they would want to know and take action.

Me too please! Hope Police and company have been informed, what a brave driver he is....they say size of vehicle is inversely proportional to the size of a "man's" erm-equipment!

It is a platform for all sorts of nutters weirdos.

I hope it turns out to be an empty threat.

Mind you, they must be known to her. I have many a milk tanker pass me and I am 100% certain they don't know my name.

There is more to this than meets the eye if you ask me ... which you weren't but there we go .

I live in Hopton Wafers , Shropshire and i would just like to say that our local skip hire company is fantastic ! I ride out every morning and when i meet one of their lorries they are politeness its self . Always stop and though not necessary as my horse is skip lorry proof ,bless her ,they always ask if i want them to turn the engine off . So 3 cheers to those drivers ,i wish there were more like them .
