WARNING to anyone in the Warwickshire Area!!!!!!!!!

If you read my post earlier I stated that a tinker was snooping around my farm.

Well we are on FarmWatch which alerts us everytime a crime happens on a farm in the area. We got one tonight saying a guy in a Black Nissan 4x4 was acting strangely and going around farms. He asks if you'd be interested in a generator or any new tools. This is the guy that came to my farm, so we too phoned the police.

He is around 5"8, stocky build, dark shaven hair, neat shaven beard.

He also asked if I would sell one of my Collie X dogs to him

and he stated he was looking for a black and white Collie. So if you have one lock it up! Needless to say ours will be inside for the next few weeks.

He even had the cheek to go to my neighbours, as they have one of our Collies and snooped around theres too. My sister went round and told him to GET LOST, hope it didn't put his back up!

If you see him please take his number plate as stupidly we didn't and alert the police immediately.

Stow Fair is on next week which is why my Uncle had the visit of a different one yesterday. Kepp everything locked up and keep your eyes peeled.

Sounds like Gypsies, and they'll mostly be after diesel and dogs. Last time they were round here they stole the JCB from the farm. My dad caught them stealing diesel a few days later and hemmed them in and told them he had a gun in the car and would blow their head off. One started crying and the other ran off. Thankfully the police came quick and both men were arrested but as usual not prosecuted.

I used to go to stow three times a year and youre right, some very dodgy characters. youre right to be wary of him. Hope you all stay safe, its an awful worry.

Thanks for the warning.I leave very little of value at my stables and have taken home all my rugs because these things cost a fortune to replace,my dark green velvet ,high dome hat is very distinctive if any one sees one,that was one of the hats stolen last week.

Well they didn't come last night, thank god.

I think they're more interested in other things like tack, diesel and dogs than horses, although they will take them.

Just be grateful they're not coloured cobs as they would have gone. I think its safe to say they won't be interested in the 2 gingers, especially with one who has a wierd vice of turning her bum on you, lol
