This may be blindingly obvious but it's something I've never thought of until this week!
They get posted out to you and postman shoves through the letterbox. Dog, the other side eats entire contents.
I've always bought my horse wormers and dog meds this way but came home to find the packaging of three tubes of pramox chewed up in my dogs bed, luckily he's not actually chewed the tubes but could have been really nasty if he had. My heart was in my mouth when I saw it all. I think I may pay a few pound extra and buy locally instead!

I have a locked mailbox on wall beside front door. Hate letter box flap things in doors for lots of reasons; your op being one of them.

Yep, just not something I've ever considered before. My dogs don't generally chew mail!

I had never considered it until I ordered a box of prascend online for the cushings horse. I presumed it would need signing for. It didn't. It wouldn't go in our post box (where it would have been safe) so postman left it on the front doorstep where he usually leaves parcels. Dog spends a lot of time in the front garden when we are out. That day I arrived home to find her enjoying her new plaything!! I was horrified. Fortunately she hadn't actually bitten into it. It never ever occurred to me that medicines wouldn't be sent on a recorded service. It could have been a small child that had found it.

Having accidentally taken a prascend tablet, and been horribly ill, you are very lucky she hadn't eaten any!

Good point. My mail all goes in our coal shed, so no probs here, but certainly worth thinking about if your mail goes through the door.
