Hi All,

I've searched the forum and found a few threads but all are quite old, so the information is not helpful.

I wondered, if anyone can point in the in the direction of some Livery Yards to call to go view their stables? Im looking for around M62 area of Liverpool/Huyton/Cronton/Widnes/Bold Heath & Warrington (but not too far off the Motorway). Ideally I'm looking for anywhere 5-10 minutes off the M62 from Liverpool up to Warrington (Junc 10) thanks :)

I really just want someone where with all year turnout, a school with lights for winter riding & on site parking for my trailer!

If anyone can PM me any information or let me know on here I'd really appreciate it. Im looking for assisted DIY/Part Livery with the option of Holiday Livery, but I would consider even full livery!

I've got Bold Heath on my list as I like the look of all their faciltiies and the fact they hold alot of shows on their ground, but I dont know much about their livery section.

Thank you x

I doubt you will find what you want in that area.

Bold Heath is a good comp venue but I wouldn't livery there.

Most places have either no winter turn out, are riding schools, only offer full livery or are not really the sort of place that I would feel comfortable leaving my horses (to put it politely!). You can find the odd place but they are like hens teeth.

I long gave up on trying to find places in that area. Your best bet is to either go further north (there are some nice places up by the East Lancs road sort of area) or across the bridge and look along the m56 corridor from Helsby up to south Warrington - there are some lovely DIY yards with fab turnout.

Cockshot seems quite nice when I have competed there but I'm not sure what sort of livery they do and what the turn out is like. I know they have to stay in when they have a comp on.

If you are happy to go for full livery then I think Northfield is ok. I think there is a place that is opposite Bold Heath that others have said is ok too.

Thank, I've dropped you a PM.

I dont mind Full Livery or a Riding School (as long as it had its own livery facilties). Im willing to look at anywhere, as long the yard is secure with nice horsey people! :)

The yard opposite Bold RS is Willow Park Farm, you'd have to ask them about school facilities but I know they have a farm ride and cross country jumps. My sister knew some liveries on there a few years ago, as far as I'm aware they were happy.

Thank you, I've got willow park on the list but I think it's just DIY so I'm leaving it until last as I really need assisted or part livery!

I would recommend this yard if the owners have changed, it was up for sale a few years ago when the owner was a chap called Ivan, if they have gone then I would recommend it from facilities perspective. I've been on this yard under his management (him= a complete novice with absolutely no experience of even handling horses) and fortunately kept well out of the way but witnessed some pretty awful treatment of owners and one poor lady (who was truly one of the nicest owners I've ever met - still keep in touch with her) who was given 12hrs to get her horses off the yard as he had fallen out with her!

Their farm ride with x country jumps is really good and they used to permanently have a field full of rustic jumps which was very good.
