One of my horses has a tiny wart on her neck, possibly as a result of past annual jabs. It has been there about 18 months now and hasn't changed - it's pink in colour and very small, probably about 5mm in diameter.

My vet has seen it and not really taken much notice, he didn't think it was a sarcoid and didn't feel any treatment was necessary.

2 days ago I started putting Hilton Herbs virex cream on it to see if I could get rid of it and after 2 treatments it started bleeding. It's possible I caught it with the reins when riding but this hasn't happened before so it is more likely to be as a result of applying the cream. I spoke to Hilton Herbs who were very helpful and said to keep applying and phone them again in a few days - unless it gets very troublesome of course and then I'm to stop the cream and phone them.

Has anyone else had success with this cream ( as opposed to general thuja cream) or experienced the same problem?

Also, having just read the honey posts would honey be worth a try or would it not work on a wart (viral??).

Thank you
