Two year old gelding. Noticed a wart like nodule on inner hind led, midway between hock and stifle. Also noticed some little blobs of colour change on sheath, lighter than the rest of the sheath. Am wondering if these are sarcoids or just warty things. Some years ago my older gelding had typical baby warts on muzzle as a yearling. He developed a sarcoid verrucous age five which was successfully removed with Liverpool cream. He then developed three more but zovirax and or his immune system delt with these. Recently he had aural plaques which have now mostly gone. So,back to the two of year old. Is there any dietary supplement that actually works that i can feed? Don't want to go down the vet route yet as if the ones on his sheath are sarciods then there untreatable so no point in treating the verrucous one on the leg imo. Coccie biccs and a bottle of wine if you've read this far.

I would tend not to worry about anything like that in a horse I already owned until it was about 4yrs old. I have had these things appear on youngsters in all shapes and sizes and then miraculously disappear of their own accord. Unless in a problem area for breaking in I'd leave and see what happens.

I agree that young ones have all sorts of stuff appear and unless sizeable and therefore concerning they often disappear on their own.
