can anyone explain the difference between warts, juvenile warts and sarcoids please?
I have done much research reading and so on and still I am unsure, I have a youngster turning 3 in couple of months she has a wart like above her eye for a few months looking like a skin tag also recently come up with another skin tag like one on the inside of her front leg.
also don't know if anything to do with them but as a few lumps like fly bites on her shoulder and near her withers..

anyone any ideas..
I am worrying it could be something drastic and worsen..

Ask the vet to look and give advice. My youngster had juvenile warts around his nose which went when he was rising 3. However at rising 4 he got a sarcoid on his sheath, and now despite annual treatment (homoeopathy, turmeric, bloodroot, banding, cutting and freezing, Liverpool cream 3 times (3 x 4 applications each time) ) he has about 30 and they are now out of control and we are running out of options.

However I have to say his mother had the same thing at the same age and they were treated successfully and never came back. We lost her at 18 with a totally unconnected problem.

Having had a good and bad experience I would suggest that you get them looked at early as the the younger the horse, and the more timely the treatment, the better success you will have if they do turn out to be sarcoids.
