warts?

my horse hunter has a large bump just on the under side of his head and was wondering if i should get vets take? it is about a centimeter in diameter and comes out quite away, finishing with a whiteish lump. is this just a wart? sorry i couldnt provideany images

Sounds like it has a head on it? Have you tried gently squeezing it? Could be a thorn or something?

it no longer has the white head (i dint squeeze just dissapeared) but the lump is still there. anything to worry abou?

By "on the under side of his head" do you mean between the jaw bones? That could be an old strangles abscess, I owned a horse with one one which never healed, I just had to keep picking off the head and letting it drain.

I would be asking a vet in case it is a sarcoid or needs antibiotics.
