This is a long distance bridleway, on the banks of the River Welland near Spalding, Lincolnshire. It is all on grass, no traffic or other hazards, only the occasional pheasant! Riders do however have to face the very real problem of navigating across the A17 at Fosdyke Bridge, it is impertative that we do not enter a further area of conflict. Planning application has been approved for Boat building, Repair and Storage; A second application has now been submitted for industrial building; this if approved, will mean the bridleway runs between the loading and unloading area for these two buildings. There is no alternative access. To ensure our safety two white lines, 3 metres apart are going to be marked on the ground - plus signs warning riders/drivers to be aware. Objections to Boston Borough Council; Application Number B/07/0127. BHS,ILPH,Endurance GB, plus local riders have objected.
