Washing a Back Protector

How do you wash your back protectors? (Do you ever wash them?) Mine is getting a little whiffy, yes I wear it a lot and work hard in lessons, etc.

Has anybody ever put their back protector in the washing machine? Mine's a RaceSafe and it says not to but I'm very tempted, what harm can it do?

Mines an aerowear outlyne and the cover is washable. Quite easy to take off, sponge down the inside and lightly wash the cover and replace.

A washable cover is a great idea. I wish mine had one

I wouldn't put it in the washing machine but i did used to put it in the bath and give it a scrub!

The cover on mine isn't removable so I just give it a good sponging with warm water and washing powder and hose off to rinse.
I'd be worried it would come out of the machine an odd shape!
