Does anybody else wash their lighter weight rugs in the washing machine? Particularly interested in hearing about the ones that are waterproof.

My boy's waterproof fly rug is getting grubby and I am contemplating washing it myself but am worried it will lose it's waterproofness! I have some reproofing spray, but will this be enough to reproof it? What should I wash it on, a cold wash or 30?

Thanks ?

I put my waterproof fly rug on a 30 wash with waterproofing wash. Either a specific horse rug one or a generic supermarket one and they tend to come out ok.

Turnouts I tend to not wash unless I absolutely have to and even then I'd rather hose and scrub as I'm not sure they're the same after they've been washed even if they're reproofed and I want them to stay absolutely waterproof.
