Washing wool tweed jacket?

Just pulled my tweed out the wardrobe and it's rather musty. It says dry clean only but is there any chance is get away with a wool wash in my machine? I need it for tomorrow!!

Febreeze the hell out of it! Then send it to the dry cleaners on Monday!

Completely agree! Definately wouldn't wash it.

I'd also give it a Febreze and/or a blooming good airing by an open window overnight. If you wash it the wool may survive the wash no problems but the lining, stiffening in the collar, padding in shoulders, velvet in the collar, buttons and most importantly of all the shape of the jacket may not be so lucky

Under no circumstances put it in the washing machine!

Hang it outdoors to freshen it up if you can't get it dry cleaned.

I'm glad I asked you lot lol I was all for just bunging it in!! I've left it hanging outside all eve and will give it a fabreeze before I go to bed
