an ifor williams burgandy trailer has been stolen from a yard in gloucester it was padlocked and wheel clamped.

it has no partition, one of the brakes on the wheels sticks and it is in good condition.

if anyone knows someone who has just got a trailer like this or has suddenly got one for sale please pm me.

but be careful - like i say it was locked and wheelclamped.

it was stolen between 8pm 24/8 - 7am 25/8. not sure of the model or serial number as it wasnt my trailer.

just want to make as any people aware, as quickly as possible, of the fact that its been stolen so that the thieving b*****s that stole it dont get away with selling it on to some innocent party.

Ok Mole what area of Glos was it taken from I will make people aware and I know how you feel about it It has happened to me. If it helps anyone else when mine was taken:

It was in broad daylight just after the yard was opened up.

I would strongly advise anyone in the area to go and check around their trailer and quadruple check ALL trailer locks and security.

Following my theft I checked a friends trailer everytime I walked past it and a couple of days after mine went discovered the wheel clamp had been tampered with and left to look as if it was still properly locked. When you kicked it the lock fell off. They appeared to have cased the joint prepared the trailer for theiving and then nipped in when gates were unlocked and yard busy.

My friends trailer was later taken (a couple of weeks later)and we spotted the wheel clamp in a ditch out on a hack.

Thanks mole, not too far from me
A couple of years ago we had our trailer stolen and no matter what you do to keep it safe they still take it if they want it, sad really that we can not have things these days without them being at risk.

Please everyone if you want to keep or recover your trailer then take extra precautions. If this trailer has a postcode on the roof try contacting skywatch who will keep an eye out for it, it costs next to nothing to do this to a trailer just a little time on a ladder and you have a really good chance of recovering your property.

At the very least MAKE A RECORD of any chassis numbers or distinctive features so property can be recovered to you it will also help with charging people!!

Also consider using an old mobile phone and sim card then google "mobile phone tracking" for a cheap and effective method of recovering your trailer and getting these thieves prosecuted!

Hampshire horsewatch have some good tips http://www.nfed.co.uk/horsewatch.htm but if you do not take the time to mark your trailer and pay for the most effective protection then it makes it easier for someone to steal and make money from.

Please also don't consider buying trailers from unknown sources cheaply as you are adding to someone else’s misery!!!

Hi folks we had our burgandy trailer stolen between 1 am and 8.30 the 3rd of september. They took our fence down to avoid locked gates and did this right outside my house without the dogs hearing a thing!!!!! It was wheel clamped, However the police didn't think it was worth turning up for despite the fact they left their bolt croppers behind!!!!!!!!11
