Right, this may be a silly question but i can't go hunting due to injury, yet my friend & horse are going on their first hunt & i'd love to go watch ... Here's the question though, can i? Can you go ta meet with everyone & then essentially wait?
Probably a stupid question i know ...

TIA x

Of course you can go hunting on foot (or by car or bike) lots of people do :)

There'll be all sorts from non riding parents to elderly farmers (they're generally a mine of information, most of it accurate! )

Make yourself known to the Secretary at the meet so people know you are following and have fun!

There is usually a footies cap too -generally only a couple of pounds or so but check with the Secretary

Absolutely! There are often many more people following, in cars and on foot on a day's hunting than there are riders! In some cases around 10 times as many!

You'll be very welcome at the meet, and will probably have the opportunity to fill yourself with sausages and port... You may be asked for a donation of a few pounds, it might be free, or you might be expected to buy a raffle ticket-just ring up the secretary and ask if your unsure.

When it comes to following the hunt, people will do it via bike foot and car. It's probably easiest to drive in your car, get out and walk and return to the car when they gallop off for a few miles to save your legs!

As I say you'll be made very welcome and will probably find it very easy to follow the hunt as you'll be part of a convoy of vehicles. If you want to see a specific bit it might be worth explaining to these followers and asking them where the best view is-if eg you wanted to
Watch them jumping hedges.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask them on here or PM someone.

Whereabouts are you and which pack will you be going out with?
