There is an H and H person at the auction in Ireland sending back a live blog......
On the H and H website

It's a really interesting auction, I'm watching it online. It's a bit lazy though as I could have just gone down to the auction house lol.
They're on lot 55 and utopia is lot 80

And before anyone starts blasting on wilsons - they are a huge horsey family that event & hunt, a hunt master and they are a huge supporter of equestrian events here :)

Interesting rolexes on sale, couple of stunning ones- one sold at 15k when it's worth 32k!!

This seems to be only for those who intend on bidding? And whilst I would love to, I think my bank would disagree!

what outcome would?

Fair point! xD
But the fact it's taking so long means there's either a bunch of bids or some very persistent bidders. Driving up the price is only going to make it harder for Carl to retain him.

ETA: You'd assume Carl/his owners have set a max price they're willing to pay. After all, he's well past his prime at this point and is unlikely to make them any more money. They are fundamentally a business, afterall.

sold as seen ... sounds a vet fail
.... the whole sale is bizarre

Not really - it's a bankruptcy sale. Quickest and most likely to achieve best price for the entire estate with minimum of effort. Would have been more odd if they'd used the specialist auctions - takes time and requires effort.
