Has anyone come up with a good idea for 'bulking out' a water logged gate way?
Ours is up to my knees and getting worse.
And to make it worse the houses have mud fever, which we are treating and keeping under control. But being able to dry out the field would be great.

I've started using Fieldguard - a form of holed rubber matting through which the grass can grow. It's my first winter with it and I'm thrilled. Yes there's still mud, but it's an inch or two and not the 6-8 inches we had before.

You can Google Fieldguard. It's not cheap, but so far I'm very impressed. Now is probably not the time to be putting it down though. I did mine in the summer. I could only afford about 8 mats, and will just get more as I can afford them. You can see them often in grass carparks, for example at stately homes. The horses love them, and walk on them for preference. PM me if I can help further.
