I have been recommended to try a waterford snaffle with my horse to help with guidance issues, is it ok to use a flash with this bit too? All advise welcome. Thanks!

You could also try something like a fulmer as this will also help with steering issues. Recent advice has suggested that the use of the little leather strap to hold the fulmer is place is counter productive although I am not sure why! I ride my horse in this bit with a half moon lozenge and if you are interested I can recommend somewhere to purchase one from as I don't think they are the usual run of the mill type of bits.

just one thing.with waterforrds, u have to be really light in the hand.so many people yank them about and it makes the side of their mouths sore and can make them bleed.i would recommend a neue scheule waterford because they have a special mouthpiece which stops this happening and it is aslo made from salox gold, which makes them salovate.my horses love it!

I have a Neue Schule Waterford combined with the Horseware Mickelm Now I have real brakes I almost never need them - his favourite tactic was to stick his head down and tank which is not good at 17hh. The NS ones come in 1/4inch measurements so you can get it right. And Archie can still eat around his bit
