Sorry this is also pasted in stable talk but with no response.
Hi has anybody used one of these and how have they found it ? as they are very expensive to buy. My mare goes well in a NS peanut style snaffle whilst schooling/hacking out on our own but when she is in group company such as a fun ride ........... she puts her head down to try and evade. On the last fun ride I rode her in a snaffle mouth cheltenham gag on the advice of my instructor but she still had moments of putting her head right down which is rather scarey & dangerous especially when approaching a jump ! Any comments/other suggestions welcome (except the go back to schooling ones as it is the different circumstances that cause it.) She is a strong shireX mare.
Many thanks

We use a cheltenham gag on our pony for xc etc and it does lift his head but havent fully tested it in company yet , someone in pony club recommended the waterford mouthpiece but our pony doesn't go well in them (he had a loose ring one) try ebay or why not hire one from a bit bank ? I can recommend Bit world www.bitworld.co.uk tel 01664-812298 they offer brilliant advice
