I have been concidering using one of these on maddie as she's beoming incresingly strong as she's regaining her confidance in canter.
She likes to poke her nose out, lean and pull, sometimes all at once. She's in a loose ring french link at the moment, she doesn't seem to tolerate a single jointed bit also.
Does this seem reasonable or does anyone have any other suggestions, any help gratefully recieved x

Does she need a pelham? Would a waterford snaffle not be strong enough?

My cob would lean, pull and take off in a normal snaffle but she can't in a waterford snaffle. Though I have to put her in a straight bar pelham for cantering in company.

i think it's the faster work she requires more braking and things as i end up constantly nagging on her mouth trying to slow her down, this combined with the leaning makes things even tougher to get a nice contact, pretty much impossible!
i am slightly empted to try the normal waterford snaffle first though and see if she's still as strong, just need to get hold of some money :p
