Waterford Snaffle

I've had my neddie in a loose ring french link snaffle which he came with but he grabs hold of it with his teeth so I've got him a Waterford full cheek.

Have I done right?

Yup definately. I used to have mine in a two ring gag on the second ring for jumping as he used to grab hold of the bit and fight. Instructor recommended a waterford loose ring snaffle and I havnt looked back. Its just like a normal snaffle so nowhere near as strong/severe as the gag was so he doesnt fight against it.

Have to agree with above...finni is a git in a normal snaffle to jump, but amazing in a waterford!

ye my mare did that- swapped to a waterford fulmer and have never looked back- have bought her a waterford gag for hunting becaue she loves the waterford mouthpiece!!
