Watermelon

Random post really...I saw an animal rescue program on Animal Planet the other day and one of the underweight mares with a foal at foot was being fed a watermelon....has anyone tried their horses with this? Thought it would be great as a cooling down treat and to hydrate my mare as we're going on a LDR tomorrow

I have chewits and choccie biccys on offer if anyone can help?!!

In cyprus we used to give our horses watermelon all the time, they seemed to love it and it's great for hydrating them!

Never tried this but my cob loves banana, grapes, strawberries, satsumas and blueberries. I'm guessing given his love of food that he will probably enjoy wm

Well I tried both my girls with their watermelons.... I have a fussy cob but thought she may like it! she took one bite/lick and then walked off to eat the grass so im guessing it wasnt a hit lol I left it in her watertrough so it doesnt get covered in ants so maybe she will eat it later!!
