I have a waterproof jacket which is very thin with a mesh lining (to stop that horrid damp feeling inside) but sadly it doesn't stay waterproof if at a VERY wet show all day long!!

Can anyone recommend a decent riding jacket which is fully waterproof? But it cant be very warm as I get hot riding (even if its a blizzard!). Ive had a look at the odd Mountain Horse jacket but they seem too cosy! Ideas?

It's not a riding jacket, but I recommend the Regatta walking jackets. You get a waterproof outer, and a fleece which zips in (for winter). as they're made for walking in they're breatheable and yet keep you dry as a bone.

Anything by Musto - have been caught in monsoon like conditions in both my coats and have been bone dry underneath.

The combination jacket has a mesh lining & a removable gilet so will be ideal for what you're looking for. Definately worth forking the money out (or if you're Oxon way, head to Bicester shopping village as there's a Musto outlet there)
