Seeing as winter seems to have arrived overnight, I'm looking into getting some warm, waterproof full chaps.

Are the Rambo chaps any good? If so, how do the sizes come up? I'm 5'6, size 10 and not sure what size I'd need!

Any alternative suggestions also welcome :)

I've just bought some Toggi Usk, they are trousers rather than chaps but suitable for riding in, first I've seen with the slim stretchy calf design

I have found Rambo chaps to be FAB too :-)

TBH though, I prefer Mountain Horse ones. They lasted for years, and never let any water in (as long as you don't wash all the time, and NEVER use detergent).

My Rambo chaps are one of the best things I ever bought, I also bought my friend a pair for Christmas last year and she too said its the best present I ever got her. I'm 5'4 and size 10 and have the small.

Just buy skiing gear in any sales! I have salopettes - so all my yard jobs and ride in them. No rain can get in cos they're like dungarees but roasting and waterproof!

Not come across a waterproof balaclava yet though. This sounds extreme but I live out on Saddleworth Moor so winter weather means it 😂
