So my young mare is an IDxTB with quite a 'wiry' type of mane. About 3/4 of the way down from her ears there is a little section which either sticks up or flops to the other side. When I got her I pulled her mane shorter and the majority of it was wayward. Now it's winter, she's only 3&1/2 and consequently not doing a great deal, I have let it grow out again and for the life of me I cannot get this bit of her mane to lay with the rest! It's just beyond the reach of her rug so I cannot stuff it under there in the hope of it taming itself. If I plait that particular bit do you think it will eventually just lie the way I want it or d'ya reckon I am onto a lost cause?!
I have a feeling when it comes to pulling it again in spring, when I want her to resemble being a 'looked after' horse lol, that I will have a problem again
Any suggestions?
