we actually did it!!

i took ria for her first gallop EVER since her racing days!!

ive been doing a lot of work with collecting her canter and it paid off because in the field when she was getting a bit too fast i'd half halt and she'd come right back to me... however on the second lap of the big field i nudged her very very slightly accidentally and she was gone like the clappers!!!! hahaha

was so pleased with her though and we both enjoyed it muchly



& look at her trot now that she is able to use her back end properly!!!

shes really started bringing her legs underneath her. shes so beautiful

Oh well done! I have an ex-race horse so i know what it's like! What bit and noseband do you ride in?

thankyou i've been putting it off and putting it off, but i really trust her now and know what works for her so felt ready for it

shes in a loose ring french link and usually just a caveson, but every now and then i'll put her in a flash to remind her that doing a giraffe impression to avoid the bit is not acceptable
