....in a matter of a few weeks

.

A dog came a-wandering onto our farm back in September and apparently he has had his wicked way with one of my girls. Ironically I had her at the vets last week and priced up having her spayed, however too late in the year to do her so the decision was made to wait till the Spring.

Anyway the only saving grace here is that the dog happens to be a collie and not some poodle-doodle thing. I have phoned around lots of friends who adore Lily and they are very excited about having one of her pups.

English Springers/collies are very rare around here so if we have more puppies than I can find homes for (we have 6 homes secured) then I don't think we should have too much trouble finding good homes for them....if we can't then they'll have to stay till we can.

Anyway, here is the little harlot

Don't I know it! Loads of puppies over Christmas.....just what I need! I'm okay about it today but I was not so chilled about it yesterday.

Oh yes for sure. Piccies are something I'm good at. Thankfully she is not a house-dog so it won't be too much of an upheaval. Even hubby (who doesn't like her) is sort of looking forward to it now.

How can he not like her....she is gorgeous.

Now how to get over to you in time for Christmas so I can be nanny Spaniel.....

Did you meet Lily? I can't remember if I brought her when I met you? Lots of others on HHO have met Lily - she's a really sweet little dog and I know she will be a good mother. It's probably something that will be good for her actually - and we will keep one of the pups I expect.

Ooops! My mum is dying for a collie x spaniel though, its a shame you are on the other side of the world! Our spaniel at work had puppies this summer...she had 14!!!!!! For her first litter too! She lost three of them, but the rest have all gone to fab homes and most of them come back to visit quite often which is nice! Cant wait to see the photos of yours!
