You know I nearly posted a topic just like this today! I cantered Belle in company for the first time today too and she was such a good girl, it was lovely... I almost welled up! Just cantering along on the grass, beautiful sunny day, she wasn't strong or anything.

Congrats! Am delighted for you (and me, hehe). Especially after all you've been through recently.

I have the same grin - Monty and I cantered on a hack (with others) for the first time today (and second and third time ), and aside from being UNBELIEVABLY uncomfortable on his horrendously stiff left lead (right lead was much more comfy!), he was brilliant, even in that ****ing bitless bridle
