Am sooo chuffed,i joined a riding club last wk and we went and did the pre novice jumping evening tonight and we got our 1st rosette EVER
smile.gif
,it was an experience,lol...i still forgot my way but some very kind people shouted at me
smile.gif
,i couldnt walk the course as H was a little excited/stressed,and i couldnt leave him with non horsey other half, that would have resulted in carnage

I just hope my boy will settle down the more he goes out...was sick of hearing his voice after 2 hrs,lol...But he was a star and tried his best considering how heated he was(he was jumping 60cm and clearing some of them by 4ft,lol)!
So massive ahievement for us both...we finally got to a little show, jumped and came away with a rosette

Thanx everyone
smile.gif

I detest those god awful light coloured jodhs thow
frown.gif
unless you are a stick insect they show every lump and bump
mad.gif

Surely black jodhs, black jacket and a nice white cream stock etc is more flattering
smile.gif

Think that has to be part of the reason i havnt done shows
frown.gif

Be interested to hear if anybody has found any flattering cream jodhs

Hi hadfos.

So glad to hear you did so great! Well done you, your horse, + yard owner!

Sounds like you have a great RC, sounds like you'll make good friends there, which is the best thing.

Cream jods? Eek. Don't flatter anyone!! Whether we be stick insects or a little more cuddly! My fave is Caldene, which seems to cope with my cellulite, but there may be others who could cope better. My best jods ever were Harry Hally cords (wow, eat your heart out Naomi Campbell, my inside leg is about 20"!!) but can't get them locally any more.

Let's forget all that, enjoy! And well done you! You + your horse did it, not the jods!! Enjoy your new friends in your RC, they sound lovely, and congratulations! May you enjoy lots more happy times with them

Love BS x

Brilliant, how fantastic is that! I know when I won my first rosette with George I was leaping about and smiling for ages - great feeling!
