We did it - Newcomers Day

We had a morning out with the York and Ainsty South and had a fab time.

Yeeharider had kindly offered to meet and babysit us, my first time out for 13 years and Dylan's first time, but sadly she got called into work so I had to brave it alone.

It was great fun, we didn't jump anything but had a few good canters and my brakes worked, he got a bit bouncy at times but nothing too bad.

A very warm welcome was extended by the hunt and I can't wait to go again - I have been grinning all day

Glad u had a gud time. I came off in the 1st field. U meet up with my friend who said she had a great time wi u. If u go 2 any other meets let me no and she will meet up wi u.

I was not far behind you when you parted company from the curly one, hope you aren't too sore! You weren't the only one in the first field. Sorry it happened and hope it hasn't put you off for good.

We had a great morning, and it was good to buddy up with someone, her horse was very well behaved which helped keep Dylan calm.

Sounds bad but even though we spent most of the morning together I didn't ask her name!

Hi Mayflower, think i should of mayb got someone else 2 take him as it was both our first time. As he is so quiet we all thort it would b good for him. It kinda blew his brains and mine.

Just try and enjoy it, I was ok once we were there and moving off, bigger field than I was expecting.
