So today was the first time ever in my life that I have rode a horse at an actual real jump, with the intention of enjoying it and staying on!

It was tiny, only one tyre high, but it was a jump!

Soo happy! :D

We did lots of trotting poles in walk and trot, lots of figures of eight, then we moved into the other field with tiny jump set up, and my brave pants were suddenly on!

Took him into the jump at trot, sailed over, landed in a controlled canter, not on purpose of course, but it was controlled nonetheless, and he slowed down as soon as I asked him... was quite enjoying the canter so didn't ask for a while!

What a fantastic and clever Boyo he is!

We do lots of groundwork and have really formed a bond - love it!

I had total confidence in him that he would look after me.... best feeling ever! He can be a bolshy so and so at times, but his owner has commented how much his ground manners have improved since my friend and I started part loaning him! Best feeling EVER! for a pair of novices - we must be doing something right! :D
