So after my post saying how difficult we were finding it to get a yellow lab, found an ad in the paper last night. All it said was choc/yello lab pups KC Reg and then phone number. So gave him a phone. One yellow bitch left. So got bit more info (they're ten weeks old, lines including field trial winners etc) went up to the house last night to meet said pup.

And she was beautiful! Very quiet and smaller than the other pups so we think she may have been the runt (I know many people would say no straight away but our big Windsor was the runt and he turned out to be a fantastic gundog) she was also scared of a rather large German Shepard that was going nuts in the pen near us. We met the mother, lovely wee dog, very nice temperament. She was yellow as well but so light almost white!

So after more chat (and trying to get the price down

) we have decided to take her and going to pick her up tonight so expect lots of puppy pictures in the future!

She'll be called Cindy.

Tradition in our family that we name our dogs after dogs my granda had (he died v.young so it's a nice way to remember him) (they're also the same breed and colour) So we currently have Tina, a black lab (weird thing with her is the original Tina went blind and now our Tina now is blind in one eye) Shiela, a springer who is now retired from work and we recently lost big Windsor, who was a black lab. Original Windsor was a sad one as he hung himself, tried to jump over the fence. My granda never tied a dog up after that as he was heartbroken. I also have Tess, mine is a mini schnauzer but the original was a yellow lab, but my mum didn't want as big a dog! The original Cindy was a gorgeous yellow lab, she went deaf as she got on in age and she was the original Tinas mother.

Very confusing I know
