Yesterday my hack was a struggle...backward thinking horse in slug mode, spooking at everything and generally pretty grumpy...bless him. Came back sweating with the effort it took to get round.
This morning I got out at the crack of dawn and rode him straight from the stable because the hunt are due round this morning...expecting trouble because he likes a bit of turn out time before being ridden normally! But no! He was the complete opposite, forward going, I would go so far as to say sprightly! Nice perky trottting and full of energy without being silly!
Hows that work then...why are horses so full of surprises?! The previous horses I have had have been lovely but have not had the strong personality that my lad has...he is so humanised in that way.
Sorry pointless post but intriges me!
