So proud of The Boy - had a little look at them and walked past like a 5 year old trouper. Did have a mini shock at one of those huge "cabbage weeds" on the way back tho. :)

Yesterday H thought the 3 trotting poles in the school were the embodiment of all evil!! Even though he's seen them a hundred times before :confused:

Was shaking, leaping about and snorting like I have NEVER seen him before! Bonkers! :D

Flags, bunting, lorries, flags on cars, pubs, phah..
Goats ...... OMFG!!! Run away!!
I'm going to buy a goat for my horse...

One of mine is very sharp and spooky but didn't bat an eye lid at all the bunting/flags/scarecrows but then we went off road and saw a deer and it was OMG what is that :D!

Yay, good horse!

Took my mare through the village as she hasn't seen flags in a while, they were flapping about in the breeze and she didn't care. When she's like that you can forgive her for being a cow to school, lol!

I did try and do bombproofing with him, so he takes a lot in his stride, but those cabbage weeds, they seem to have just sprouted and he spots them half a mile away, and god help me if he sees one when we're cantering

Our 2 passed loads of flags/bunting without batting an eye, even the large flag fastened to a gate-post which was blowing across the road just at head height, and took no notice of the flags fastened to cars which snapped in the stiff breeze. We passed the child on a trampoline and the man above our heads with his hedge-trimmer with no bother at all but the Appy wasn't too keen on the pony in its own field and Westphalian was offended by a small yellow bird!

The local village has a scarecrow competition every year, and once your horse has got used to a straw person with the face of the queen, they generally don't mind anything, apart from burdock leaves, or dark patches of grass obviously
