We survived our first pleasure ride!

Yesterday we completed a 20 mile pleasure ride at Sledmere in Yorkshire. A freind of a freind couldn't go because her horse was injured and they asked me along.

We had great fun and are now eager to do another one and the scenery was stunning (I now know why people use seat savers and I thought I had plenty of padding

)

Was quite apprehensive before we left - Dylan isn't used to company and can get quite excited - however after a bit of a prance around he settled down to the job in hand.

He looks lovely. I took my mare on her first pleasure ride earlier this year thinking that she would be a complete loon but apart from a few rears and jogging a bit she was really good. Cant wait to get her to the next one. Glad you enjoyed yourself x.

Thanks everyone - it was great

He did sleep on the way home in his van - had a quick bath and got on with the most important task of eating as much grass as possible before being brought in, when I went out to do him at about 10 he was fast asleep lying down in his stable

I am going to order the picture, not very flattering of me but lovely of Dylan - but maybe I am biased!!
