We were big and brave today!

Other than a little walk down the road and back, me and mare have not hacked out solo. She is a very green and spooky mare and I just haven't had the courage!
Well today my friend was busy and it was such a nice day that I plucked up the courage and took her out by myself. It was only a short route but she was a star! Listened better than in company and didn't have any big spooks!
I am so proud of her! Now I know we can do it, we might go for a proper hack tomorrow! Feeling over the moon right now!

Yay well done! We are also building up slowly and have been out two days in a row with a friend and hopefully tomorrow as well, who knows Monday I might brave a little one on our own! We did the motorway bridge yesterday *quakes*!

I am so happy about the nice weather and lighter evenings!

Well done you and your mare. We have a very institutionalised RS pony who hasn't hacked properly for years, he only ever went round the short woodland ride with lead-rein clients, so we are treating him as a baby, and going with steady friends. Anything new and different he gets quite excited at, and we aim to re-educate our "plod" about how much fun the world can be.
