Weaned our foal today

Our baby was weaned today on what by chance was her 6 month birthday. Brought her and mum in from the field and foal into her stable whilst mum continued through the yard into the lorry of the family who will have her on loan to bring back into work. Neither of them whinnied or stressed and both are quietly eating their hay, the foal at home and the mare in her new home!

We're so lucky that they are both so sensible!

We weaned foals 3 and 4 today and went smoothly so far. It does make you feel less mean when neither mare or foal stress
