Hi,
I have a full welsh section D nearly 8-month-old gelding (Gelded a week ago) he is standing about 13hh at the wither, he has quite a belly on him already compared to what I would expect him to have, so I was just wondering if I'm doing the right thing in regards to feed?

He is fed adlib hay at night when he is stabled, with a big straw bed. and fed a small amount (possibly a handful soaked volume) twice a day And out in the field with his yearling friend. There is grass in the field but its very wet and soggy.

Should I be changing him onto something different or is this suitable for him?
