It's forecast lows of -1 tomorrow night! anyone putting heavy weights on or leaving current rugs on? Unsure weather to put her 300g on or her 250g (it's abit small), she has her 170g at the minute, don't know what to do!

middle weight (170 to 250gr) save the heavy+++ (300 to 450gr) for th realy cld weather, ie snow, below '0' day and night.

My mare's in a 360g full neck and 250g standard neck at night and her heavy turn out during the day - she does have a full clip tho, she's only just warm enough in those. I have more for further on into the winter tho and we're up on the fell side so pretty darn cold!
Before she was clipped she'd maybe have had a standard neck heavyweight at night and her medium for turnout in this sort of temperatures

2 of mine (oldies) are already in heavy weights with stable rugs underneath! 
weathers been so cold they were really feeling it living out despite being hardy types with very good shelter and ad lib hayledge!
but my arab/tb is always hot hes in a lightweight at the min till it gets below 0 just to keep rain off and doubt hell need the use of a heavy weight atall!
you'll do more damage over rugging so if she isnt actually feeling the cold try to hold off till the frost/snow. if she lives out its easier to walk to warm up than is to cool down if too hot!
