Great! If I don't disappear in mud from the rain today I will be blown away! My show may not be pretty, shame I have a grey. Poo! Let's hope they are wrong (often are!)
I made a vow a few winters ago, when I couldn't feel my feet or hands, or nose for that matter that I would NEVER complain how hot it was, wherever I was in the world.
haven't done since, well the UK hasn't given me a reason to
Collected hay off the field yesterday and had it safely in the barn with the help of our lovely neightbour. Just in time - weather today is wild.
I was talking to someone who was back from New York and its 100 fahrenheit there - have to say I would take this weather any day . I lived in America years ago in a flat without air conditioning. Not nice in summer.
Well I will be getting up at 5am as usual to get an early morning ride in...I usually miss the worst of the weather that way. I did that this morning and as I got back home with my tack and ready for my breakfast...it started to rain! Now that is what I call just in time riding!
Please. Don't yell at me . . . but I LOVE bad weather. Does that make me weird??? I guess as I don't have a horse atm I have the luxury of not having to be out in all weathers if I don't want to be. But even with 3 ponies to look after I loved the cold/wind/rain as I always felt refreshed by it. Prefer Autumn/Winter/Spring to Summer tbh!
Fingers crossed it misses us as we are hoping to go for a long hack in the morning and one of the neds hates the wind and his owner has no wish to die just yet

The storms - with winds which could reach 65mph across northern Britain - are expected to peak around midday.
